SENATOR TAITAGUE JOINS DEPARTMENT OF AGRICULTURE ON SOUTHERN FARMS TOUR

Southern trip helps promote agricultural, environmental awareness

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Senator Telo Taitague joined the Department of Agriculture, along with a group of more than 40 individuals from various organizations, for a tour of Guam’s farms in Merizo and Umatac.

Dr. Marilyn Salas also hosted the group on a tour of her property in Umatac where the group also took time out for a lunch.

“This was an exciting trip for all of us to see the many things our farmers are doing throughout the island, especially in our southern villages,” Senator Taiatgue said. “It was an educational experience that I hope to use to push legislative initiatives forward to support and grow a viable agricultural industry.”
