With increasing tension and focus on the Guam military buildup, Senator Telo Taitague has the opportunity to discuss the community’s concerns with U.S. Senator Jim Webb, (D) Virginia. Senator Webb recently completed a tour of the Guam and Asia-Pacific region to speak with officials about their concern moving forward with the proposed relocation of a U.S. Marine Corps base from Okinawa, Japan, to Guam.
“Though our meeting was brief, I am grateful Senator Webb took this time to meet with my colleagues in the Legislature,” Senator Taitague said. “It was a good opportunity to speak in person with someone at that level and I’m confident our discussions reflected the voice of the people.”
