Senator Telo Taitague and Senator Ben Pangelinan held a public hearing in the village of Inarajan to allow residents in the area to support Bill No. 303.
This measure, if passed, would provide $150,000 in financial compensation to the village for hosting the Layon Landfill and $100,000 to the village of Ordot-Chalan Pago. The funding would come from a nominal premium added to user tipping fees.
A number of residents came out to testify in support of the Bill, including Mayors Franklin Taiatague of Inarajan and Jesse Gogue of Ordot-Chalan Pago. The leaders touted the Senator’s initiative and look forward to passage of this public law.
