Senator Telo in October 2009 joined Catholic Social Services in celebrating the groundbreaking ceremony for Guma San Jose. The new facility, when completed, will provide temporary shelter for local families who have found themselves in financial difficulty for up to 60 days, among other services, including meals, employment placement and transportation.
“I commend Catholic Social Services for the work they do for our people. For decades, this organization has been a beacon of hope for so many in need and I am truly grateful for all those who volunteer their time, support and services to keep this mission going,” Senator Taitague said. “I urge everyone in our community to reach out and do what they can to help others in need.”
