Biba Anu Nuebu Guam!!!
I want to take a moment to share positive thoughts for this New Year with the great people I serve, my children, my family and all the friends and loved ones who inspire myself and my colleagues every day.
To the men and women serving abroad, most especially Guam’s beloved sons and daughters of our nation’s armed forces, I cannot express how thankful I am for every one of you, our brave veterans and all your families. I had the opportunity to join many of you during Guam Army National Guard’s Send Off Ceremony to show our unending support for our heroes.
I am filled with the utmost respect for all those defending our nation today and the families they leave behind. The thoughts and prayers of your proud people are with you and your families throughout this New Year.
May God’s protection be upon you, may His grace bring you safely home.
This first year in the Guam Legislature has been intense and fascinating. I have grown professionally and most importantly, I have grown as a person. Each day brings new experiences with wonderful people who have changed my life in ways I could not have imagined.
It has been my privilege to call myself a servant of each of you, the people of Guam. Together we’ve endured disaster, challenge and controversy. I am truly blessed to stand with all the men and women of this community in welcoming 2010!
Best Wishes for a Prosperous New Year,
Senator Telo
