Senator Telo Taitague recently introduced a bill that will allow the Attorney General’s Office to bill government agencies to provide further financial support for the office’s underfunded mandates.
“The Attorney General’s Office is required to fulfill many mandates and like so many other agencies, the budget provided does not meet salary and operational needs of this agency,” Senator Taitague said. “In order to for this office to function to the best of its ability for the people of Guam, it must be able to recruit and retain experienced personnel and attorneys. This bill will finally allow this office to obtain the financial support necessary to carry out its critical mission.”
